WHAT TO EXPECT

The Motorcycle Safety Foundation has updated their curriculum to maximize student’s time on the bikes. With the newly designed curriculum, a 3-hour online eCourse is REQUIRED and must be completed from the Motorcycle Safety Foundation’s website. The ecourse allows for a self-paced, relaxed learning environment from home. The cost of the eCourse is included in the price of the class. The eCourse must be completed within the window of 30 days prior to your first class date. Once completed, please print a certificate and bring it to your first class. If you do not have a printer, please email your certificate the Riding Academy manager prior to class. You will NOT be allowed to take the class without this certificate.

What happens after your time on the range?
Students who successfully complete the classroom and range sessions will be issued a completion certificate. However, it does not count as a license and is not recognized by law enforcement as a license to ride. In Texas, if you are over 18, it will usually excuse the person from taking a motorcycle operator skills test through the DMV. If you are under 18, there will be additional testing at the DMV. For requirements, please contact your local DMV to schedule an appointment and inquire about required paperwork and additional steps. However, it does not count as a license and is not recognized by law enforcement as a license to ride.
